OMG --- another blog award!!

OMG, I received another blog award. This time from the very creative Audrey, also known as CuteandSome. Audrey is a very generous gal, sharing all of her ideas and creations. I feel honoured to have received this award, yet again. Thank you so much, Audrey. You gave me some more “sunshine” for receiving this sunshine award.

Along with receiving this award comes the rule to pass it along to six other people who have inspired me and whose work I admire. These blogs are as follows (in alpha order):

Albert. You will discover, by visiting his blog, that “real men can craft”.

Dan. He has “imagination plus”. You really need to check out his blog.

Lori. Her blog and her “Household” always puts a grin on my face, from one end to the other!

Sara. She made the cutest felt/button flowers.

Shirley. aka Okieladybug. Her sharing of her cut files and her sense of humor is sure to put a smile on your face.

Susan. I know she’s received a lot of awards, but I just had to give her another one. I find her ideas/creations so inspirational.

For my nominees, here are the other rules:
1.Place the award in your post or within your blog
2.Pass this award to six of your nominees
3.Link the nominees to your post
4.Let the nominees know they have received the award by commenting on their blog

Wowsers! I received a BLOG AWARD!!!

OMG, I received a blog award from the very creative Mary, who is also known as ScrapbookingGrandma. Mary is a very generous gal, sharing all of her ideas and cut files. She has some awesome videos that you need to check out.
I feel so honoured to have received this award. Thank you so much, Mary. You literally gave me “sunshine” for receiving this "sunshine" award :-)

Along with receiving this award comes the rule to pass it along to six other people who have inspired me and whose work I admire. These blogs are as follows (in alpha order):

Andrea. Her creations are oh so cute!

Lacy. You may have seen her Ice Cream carton and card set. If not, be sure to check it out, as well as her other creations.

Lisa. I know she’s received a lot of awards, but I couldn't help but not give her another one. :-) Her shape books are literally “out of this world”.

Lorrie. Her blog always puts a smile on my face. Her projects are awesome!

Marilyn. She’s been having fun doing a lot of "wall quotes".

Mary. She actually made a quilted rag purse, using her Big Shot machine. How cool is that, eh?

Be sure to check them all out. They're great!! :-)

For my nominees, here are the other rules:
1. Place the award in your post or within your blog.
2. Pass this award to six of your nominees.
3. Link the nominees to your post.
4. Let the nominees know they have received the award by commenting on their blog.

Yeah --- got my "Stickles"

Well, I am now the proud owner of a set of Stickles. I know, I'm definitely "behind the times" in that "everyone" has had their Stickles, as in "forever"! LOL

My li'l $4.00 holder (that you can see in another post) works like a charm holding these li'l gems. As mentioned before, the best way to store Stickles is "upside down", so I'm going to have to drill/punch some holes in the compartments, so I can insert them tip down. I'm thinking that maybe my Crop-a-Dile might help do the trick. I'll keep you informed --- for those who may want to do the same thing.

Here's a couple of shots of them in their new home....

Where's Bailey????

I've misplaced my sweet li'l Bailey. I now have a li'l Chihuahua. How you ask? Well, I've been going thru a complete guilt trip because of it, and rightfully so because I left it tooooo long before getting him clipped. The groomer previously told me that I had been doing a great job in grooming him but he needed to come in "soon". That was one month ago. Well, during that time, li'l Bailey had been going thru a rough spot -- vomitting, diarrhea, etc., off/on, so the grooming didn't happen. I didn't want to traumatize him any more than he already was. Well, he got matted to the point he had to be completely sheared -- even more so than the first time when we got him. At least that first time, he still had his mustache and curly tail left. Now.... nothing. :-(

The GOOD thing is (if even there IS a good thing about all of this) -- is that he's not "skin and bones" like he was, when we got him. He now weighs a very healthy 9.4 lbs. He lost an ounce of fur. (He was 9.5 lbs. at last count).

I am now going to keep a "calendar" as to when he needs to be clipped/groomed by a groomer.

This is what he used to look like:-

This is what the li'l tyke looks like now. Still..................cute as ever!!! :-)

I keep telling him that he's a li'l imposter and I want my li'l Bailey back --- especially seeing as hubby keeps calling him Poncho Villa! LOL

MIA -- reason why

Hi there. Sorry I haven't responded to e-mails, messages, etc. I had a pretty horrible week. I witnessed my friend's dog being run over by a car. The guy (an old fogie) driving didn't even realize he hit the dog, then proceeded to run over it with both the front and back tires. The dog didn't run out in front of him, either. The poor thing wasn't feeling well that day and was just sauntering along. It was one of the most horrific things I have ever seen. The only reason he stopped was because he heard two women screaming hysterically. He didn't even help drive my friend to either the vet or her home. He just put the dog (a medium size one) in her arms and she carried it home for over three blocks. I followed her, holding on to 4 other dogs. It was simply horrible.

Every time I closed my eyes, I would relive that horrific scene. My friend took it real hard because her dog had been "unleashed" and she was/still is feeling guilty about it. But the poor dog had sores on him and couldn't have a leash/harness on him. He died at the scene.

I'll reply to messages shortly! Thanks for your understanding.
