Butterfly Birthday Card

Made this card for another dear friend’s birthday.

Inside:-

Tools/Items:-

Glue – ATG; Zig Two-Way
Cardstock – double-sided patterned for the base; glittery for the front; blue glittery for the  butterfly
Martha Stewart Punch – Monarch Butterfly
EK Layering Punch -- Butterfly
Embossing Folder:  Darice  Happy Birthday
Corner Chomper – Scallop
Prima Flowers
Rhinestones
Brads
Pop dots

The front of the card spoke for itself w/ all its glitteryness.  J  Didn’t seem like it was necessary to add too much to it, so I just added layers of Prima’s to some of the flower designs.

I love how the embossed “Happy Birthday” is so raised up and distressed looking.  Looks like I sanded it but. . . I didn’t.  J

The front sentiment was computer-generated.

The small butterfly was created using a layering punch.  How fun.  You get three different parts of the butterfly:-

v  Base shape
v  One w/ cutouts in just the outer wings
v  One w/ cutouts in the outer wings and inside wings

Here’s what it looks like:-

When layered, you end up w/ a butterfly like this:-

Cool, eh??   J
