Clear Stamps "motherlode"

Hiya. Hope you all had a great Christmas and have fun plans for New Year's. :-)

Just wanted to share something w/ you:- I hit the motherlode for clear stamps at Wally World, aka WalMart. And. . . . . . they were ONLY $1.00 for each set. How cool is that, eh?

Sooooooo, go RUN to your nearest Wally World to see if they have some. :-)

You can click on each picture for them to enlarge.

Top left:- Build a Flower. Cute, eh?
Top right:- Talking in Circles (moms)
Bottom left:- 3 layers that you can use together, or alone, for different looks.
Bottom right:- different "Talking in Circles"

Top left:- decorative corners
Top right:- 3 layers for journaling
Bottom left:- frames, corners, swirls
Bottom right:- tickets ---- really cute!!

Top left:- Sassy Alpha -- Upper and lower case
Top right:- Free Style Alpha -- lower case
Bottom left and right:- Mix and match sentiments (2 sheets)

These stamp sets measure 6" x 7 1/2". So, they're not puny li'l ones. :-)

Bailey's stash

Hope you had a great Christmas and Santa was good to you!!! :-)

He certainly was for li'l Bailey. Bailey must've been a really good li'l boy, cuz Santa spoiled him. Here he is w/ his "special new friends". . .

Then, he got a stocking that was filled w/ the other goodies below. . . .
He didn't know which one to play with first. I wish I could've gotten it on video cuz it was the cutest thing ever. He'd come and get one toy, take it to his bed, then come and get another one. At one point, his bed was full w/ his toys. Then he played w/ them, one by one. Sooooo cute! :-)

Santa's littlest reindeer. . . .

Li'l Bailey would like to wish all of his Momma's followers/visitors Happy Holidays! He said he likes how his Momma smiles, when she reads all of the comments that have been left for her. :-)

He didn't want to sit on Santa's lap this year, so this is his pic from last year. :-) Hope you and yours have a very Merry Merry!!! :-)

NOTE: Someone asked where li'l Bailey got his Santa pix taken. It was at Pets West. and was only $10.00 for a CD of 10 pix. Each one was cuter than the last one but I might be a li'l bias. LOL All of the proceeds went towards an "animal rescue" group, which made it all the better. :-)

12 Days of Christmas

I absolutely LOVE the 12 days of Christmas. As some of you may have seen my pix from last Christmas, you would’ve seen this:-

One year, prior to having my Cricut, I happened to stumble upon an awesome website, http://pie.midco.net/grammalowe/12days.html which had directions and templates for creating a really cute gift set of the 12 days of Christmas. I couldn’t wait to make this for my hubby, who is really hard to buy for. He absolutely loved it, so wanted to share it w/ those who don’t own an electronic cutter.

The twelve days in the song are the twelve days starting Christmas Day, or in some traditions, the day after Christmas (December 26th -- Boxing Day) or you can start it any day you like. I’m sure your friends/family wouldn’t mind when you gave them this set.

I couldn’t seem to find the pic of the set I made (pre digital camera), so I attached the pic that was on the website. I improvised w/ some of the items, adding my own touch. You can do whatever you like --- it’s just an example of what you can do/use. :-)

Now, if you do own an electronic cutter such as the Cricut, there’s an adorable cartridge called: Joys of the Season, which has the 12 days of Christmas designs. Here’s a sampling of what’s on the cart:-

You could easily integrate these designs w/ the templates available on the website.

I’d love to see what you create!! :-)

We wish you a Merry Christmas

Me and my li'l tree wish you a. . . . Merry Christmas!!

Here's what he looks like when he's sleeping. . .

Here's what he looks like when he's WIDE awake. . .

Here's a video I found on YouTube of what he actually sounds like. Make sure you turn off my I-Pod, which is located at the bottom of this column, before listening to the video. Enjoy! :-)

BTW, if you think you're "seeing things" like floaties on my blog ---- it's not your eyesight going or your computer having prob's ---- it's "snowing"!!!! (tee-hee)

Happy Birthday Daughter!

It's our daughter's 23rd birthday. Happy Birthday, Sweetie!! :-)

Made the following card for her. That gal sooooooo looks like our daughter (except she's a natural blonde, who decided to dye her hair). Go figure, eh?? I almost put blonde hair on the gal but caught myself, before doing so.

RECIPE:-

Tools/Items:-
Cricut Expression
Cricut Design Studio (for sizing --- not really needed)
Cricut Cartridges (see below)
Glue (ATG & Zig Two-Way for small items)
Patterned Paper
Cardstock
Martha Stewart border punches: Optic Dot; Ribbon Loop
Martha Stewart punch: Happy Birthday
flower
brad

Cricut Cartridges used:-
Heritage: - daughter
Rock Princess:- Jenn and Jenn-s, plus layers (p. 37)

The sentiment is computer-generated.

She thought her birthday had been combined w/ her Dad's, when he had his surprise BD party. But we surprised her, after her Godmother (GM) took her out for lunch --- w/ a cake and pressies. She told her GM that she thought "something might be up because Mom is crafty". I think she meant my being "sly" instead of being artsy/crafty.

Works of Art

Hiya. Hope you’re all having a nice week-end. :-)

Whilst searching for something else on the Net, I stumbled onto something else:-

Rudolf II (Holy Roman Emperor) painted as Vertumnus, Roman God of the seasons, c.1590-1

Isn’t it absolutely mind-blowing? The artist is Giuseppe Arcimboldo (also spelled Arcimboldi) (1527 – July 11, 1593) who was an Italian painter, best known for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of such objects as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and books — that is, he painted representations of these objects on the canvas arranged in such a way that the whole collection of objects formed a recognizable likeness of the portrait subject.

Just wanted to share w/ those who have never seen this before. :-)

Here are some more pix. If you click on them, they will enlarge and you can see them in greater detail. Enjoy!

Spring, 1573, oil on canvas, Louvre Museum, Paris. . . . .

Autumn, 1573, oil on canvas, Louvre Museum, Paris. . . .

They just totally blew me away. Such imagination. Such creativity. Such talent.
