Bailey's Haul; Angel; Santa

Hiya.  As promised, here's a pic of what Santa brought for li'l Bailey.  The lion is bigger than he is!!  LOL

Here's hubby's Santa and my Angel:-

They complimented our "blue tree" perfectly.   :-)

Christmas Tree 2011

I know, I know --- Christmas is done and over with!  But I forgot to showcase our tree this year.  Errrrr, last year.  LOL

I'm usually a day late and a dollar short, so why should this be any different?!  LOL

Here it is, in all its glory.  Isn't it beautiful??

Consists completely of blue/silver baubles, birds, butterflies, lights, and ribbon.  LOVE it!!!

Hubby retired just before Christmas, so we wanted something "special/different" for our tree.

Ohhhh, and the hubster got a "blue" Santa (for his collection) and I got a "blue" angel.

Tomorrow, I'll showcase the stash Bailey got from Santa.  :-)  Maybe take a pic of the Santa and Angel, too.  Yeh, our tree is STILL up.  We're keeping it up another week cuz it's soooooo purty!!  :-)

"Funky" Christmas Tree

Lookie what the hubster found at Michael's (M's) for 80% off!! He just couldn't pass it up. . . . .

Here are some close-ups of it:-

Don't you agree that the ornaments are really pretty??!!! It's a pre-made, handcrafted floral arrangement, created by one of the florists at our M's store. I think she did an awesome job. :-)

The M's store staff dubbed it as the "Dr. Seuss Tree" as in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". When hubby was paying for it, we had about 20 bystanders/customers w/ grins on their faces.

It's going to make a nice addition to our "family room" for next year. :-)

New Christmas Decorations

Well, we finally took down our Christmas tree and decorations. Usually, I'm alright with them being put away first week of January, but this time I was really sad to see them being taken down. :-( I think it has a lot to do with the fact we had an electrical fire two Christmas's ago and it still sticks with me. So now I like to extend the Christmas season as much as possible.

But we do get to enjoy it a bit more because we scored BIG time with the seasonal sales. We had been eyeing some decorations before Christmas but they were still regular price. However, when they went down to 70% off, that was a whole different story. (tee-hee)

Hubby couldn't make up his mind between the Santa and the Nutcracker, so he got both. :-) They're both a beautiful lavender, silver and green.

Then, of course I had to get an angel for myself. ;-) Isn't she simply gorgeous? :-)

I had really wanted this set I saw at Home Sense but, again, it was regular price. When it went down to 50% off and it was STILL there, we snagged them. The angel stands 47" high and the Nativity Scene stands 44" high. Both a gorgeous burgundy, which is one of my fav. colours. Now the problem lies in where/how are we going to store them all. I put drycleaning plastic bags over the above but we'd still like to put them in some containers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :-)

Santa must've had a hard day, cuz I found him asleep under the tree.Oh wait, that's not "Santa", it's. . . . . . . .li'l Bailey dressed up like Santa! :-)

Some more decorations....

Another one of hubby's Santas......

I love the "12 days of Christmas"; hence, some ornaments depicting the theme....
My singing Christmas tree, in my craft/sewing room. It literally scares the beegibees out of me everytime I put on the light, cuz it activates the cute li'l guy. :-)

Our tree is up! Yeah!!

Hubby is the "puter-upper" of the tree. ;-) He's been "under the weather" for a couple of weeks but he finally got the energy to do his yearly duty. :-) (I'm the one that takes everything down.) It looks really pretty with all of the lights twinkling.

For whatever reason, the colour is "off" in this pic. --- the background is not "pink". LOL

Here's a couple of closeups of some of the ornaments. When our daughter was at home, the tree always had hand-made ornaments. (first, made by me and then our daughter added her creations). Now, we just have store-bought.

Hubby is a collector of "Santa's". This is one he got last Christmas for 70% off the reg. price. Can't beat that ;-)

I'm a collector of "angels". Here is one of them......
